High School
Give your students a leg-up as they graduate to careers in tomorrow’s global economy. Demonstrate your high school’s forward-thinking philosophy by hosting an international student exchange program. International Student Exchange Services’ high school programs place Chinese students in American high schools resulting in a more rich and diverse learning environment for everyone. This is an important opportunity for high school students from both countries to broaden their international knowledge and cultural experiences. By pairing your school with a “sister school” in China, we also open the door for teachers from both countries to share ideas, techniques and teaching methodologies. The result is an exceptional learning experience for teachers and students alike, not to mention the increased revenue for your school.
Create an enriched environment
Having an international student in the classroom is a great way to spur discussions about government, human rights, freedoms and economics. Broaden your students’ knowledge and understanding of global issues by providing them firsthand interaction with foreign cultures and beliefs. Faculty will be able to share ideas and teaching methods with your Chinese sister school enabling them to present students with a more diverse learning experience. ISES can even arrange teacher exchanges to further increase your school’s exposure to Chinese education and culture.
Build a unique program
International Student Exchange Services understands each school we work with has a different set of needs. That’s why all of our student exchange programs are specially designed to fit the requirements of the school, community and student body involved. We offer three different types of programs for high schools to choose from. Start small with a two week camp, or dive right into a year-long program. Together, we can decide which one or ones work best for your school’s situation and begin the personalization process. Whichever program you choose, our specialists will ensure that everyone reaps the rewards of a distinctive international program.
Each program has its benefits:
1. Summer or Winter Camp (2-3 weeks)
• Short term makes it a good way to start an international program
• Helps maintain student relations and interaction over break periods
• Exposes students to a foreign language and culture
• Provides sightseeing tours of the areas surrounding your community
• Free for American students to attend alongside Chinese students
2. Classroom Experience (2-3 months)
• Offers prolonged exposure to Chinese culture and language for faculty and students
• Enables faculty to create lesson plans and activities to include Chinese culture and holidays
• Gives students an opportunity to build relationships and make lifelong friends
3. Dual Diploma Program (1 year)

• Breaks down cultural biases and stereotypes
• Increases students’ understanding of Chinese language, culture, society and customs
• Shares American culture and customs with a foreign nation
• Builds additional revenue for schools and communities
